One of the prime objectives of the Ladies' Ski Club is to raise funding and support up and coming young British Lady ski racers. We manage to do this by raising funds in a variety of ways.
One of the main ways that we raise funds is by attracting companies to our Club to help us support our racers. These companies will provide a level of funding over a number of years - and so sponsor an Award. We are constantly looking for Companies or Banks who are willing to join the team and sponsor an Award for our racing girls.
The Award will be given to a young British lady skier who we feel, in conjunction with the sponsor, has achieved well in the current skiing year and is deserving of some help.
The award would be named after the Company or Bank eg ‘ The Royal Bank of Ryde Award’. The recipient would be proposed by the LSC awards committee every September and discussed with the donor.
The Ladies' Ski Club will endeavour to ensure that maximum publicity is given to the donor, on our Website and bulletin and also in many publications including the SCGB website and ClubTalk
We suggest that an Award is an annual amount of £ 500 (for an individual) or £ 1,000 (for a company) and is donated for a fixed period - the minimum being 5 years. This enables us to deliver some continuity to the racers.
