ABI BRUCE

Abi started skiing on family holidays from the age of 4.  She loved it so much she went on to join Sandown Park Ski Race club at the age of 7 and gradually began to spend more time on snow each year thereafter.

In 2018, Abi is entering her 3rd year of FIS racing, her 1st as a full time athlete.

Her debut into FIS racing in 2016 saw her achieve the honour of competing in the European Youth Olympics then become National U18 Overall and National Junior Overall Champion at the British Championships in Tignes.

Last season was a more tricky one juggling completing her A levels whilst remaining competitive in an increasingly challenging field of GB female skiers. She was very happy to qualify and compete in the World Junior Championships in Davos and is looking forward to improving her position in the years ahead.

Abi continues to be part of the Ambition academy programme based in Leogang, Austria but is also benefiting from mentoring from Chemmy Alcott and was super happy to spend some time training with her on snow over summer.
