LSC ran a very successful British Schoolgirls Indoor Race event at Milton Keynes Snozone on Sunday 12 Sept. Only the second time we have run this indoor event, it provides a good ‘dry run’ for girls hoping to participate in the British Schoolgirls Races in Flaine in January, allowing schools to see the girls in action and to make their team selections.
Despite a number of schools and racers having to drop out at the last minute because of Covid, we had 120 girls taking part from 14 schools.
We congratulate all participants, particularly those who had never previously raced, and we hope they enjoyed the experience enough to do more in the future.
Our winners, who really excelled on the day and should be so proud of themselves, were:
Holly Tutt, from Bedford Girls School, overall individual winner and winner of the U16s class.
Stafford Grammar School, overall winning team
New Hall School, winners of the Parallel Slalom event
1st Ella Weeks Guildford High School
2nd Sophie Hughes New Hall School
3rd Alexandra Hewitt Cheltenham Ladies College
1st Holly Tutt Bedford Girls School
2nd Elena Blaikie Stafford Grammar School
3rd Hannah Sassower South Hampstead High School
1st Georgia Blaikie Stafford Grammar School
2nd Madeleine Welsh Ipswich High School
3rd Cassandre Peters St Albans High School
